Night vision

The Geek Squad installed two Arlo cameras yesterday - one inside and the other outside. We are very pleased with the results, both cameras performing well. However, during the night I checked the cameras and noticed the inside camera offered a clear view. Unfortunately, the outside camera showed only the area illuminated by a security light. Should I turn off the outdoor security light so the camera's night vision will work? Not sure what to do, as the outdoor camera, during darkness, is very important for security reasons. Thanks, Mike

Generally, I get a better night image with external lighting such as you have.  The built-in IR illuminators have limited range - the external lights will help a lot.  Maybe post a screenshot.
