I just bought my camera on Nov 28th. I have already had to replace batteries twice. How long are they suppose to last. I bought my camera to be able to keep an eye on my chicken coop at night. Do I need to cut it off during the day ? Does it need to be cut off at the camera or can it be turned off in the inside. I put batteries in at 6pm by 7pm it was already showing they were low.

Among other things, check out the rechargeable threads in Buying Tips and Options forum.  Also, the standard for battery life is 4 minutes recording/live viewing per day.  If you're using these for more or less continuous monitoring, battery life will continue to be an issue.  Note that the newly announced (not yet available) Arlo Q supports continuous monitoring since it's a powered, not battery, device.
