New batteries, no motion detection or alerts

Unit was working fine, suddenly stopped, we change the batteries, now the unit works but no motion detection or alerts to our IPhones

Check your modes to make sure motion detection is enabled. After setting your mode you can check the cameras screen to make sure motion detection is active. The running man should be black if motion detection is active, when testing the running man should turn amber to indicate motion is being detected.
