Is there a way for the Arlo base station to use the 5.0 network? How do I know which one it is using?

No, the base units work only on 2.4ghz

The Q camera will operate on either 2.4 or 5 ghz

How can you switch between 2.4 and 5??

Seems the iPhone app uses the Wi-Fi network the phone is on as a default.

So switching network SSIDs means setting the camera up again?

Arlo Q

Firmware: 1.8.3.1

IOS 10.3.3

I can set my Q according to the desired band/SSID regardless of which one the phone is on.  It sometimes appears to not work but in the end it syncs fine.

Thanks!

Are you using the smartphone app?

On my iPhone app, the only choice is the SSID the phone is connected to.

However, using the PC browser there is an option to change the SSID that requires you to press the "Sync" button on the Q.

Then you need to change your phone the new SSID.

I was hoping there was an easier way to change from 5.0 to 2.4 to troubleshoot problems.
