I am experiencing an issue with my C3000 router/modem when it has Arlo base station connected to Port 1. The SSID of the C3000 will not allow a wireless connection, it does not accept the password!. However the SSID-guest will allow a wireless connection.  Suggestions?

The fix is as follows: log into C3000 and change the SSID from the default to any othe name. The Arlo base station continues to use the default SSID while I am using the renamed SSID. The default SSID still broadcasts as does the renamed SSID but only can get a password to accept on the renamed SSID.

Try moving the base further from the router.

I'm not clear on what you're doing but you can't do anything with the SSID from the base station. Only the cameras can connect to it.  The router SSID is the one that is used for normal connections to the Internet.

Maybe I misunderstand...

Yes you misunderstood. I am changing nothing on the base station because that isn't possible. As stated the issue is with the Netgear C3000 modem/router. When the base station was connected to the C3000 into Port-1, a wireless client could not connect to the SSID of the C3000. The wireless client password would not be accepted. The fix was to change the Default SSID of the C3000. Then wireless clients can connect to the new SSID while the base station continues to use the default SSID. Yes, the default SSID continues to broadcast as does the 'changed' SSID.
