Netgear Arlo VMC3030 won't re Sync to base

After recharging my batteries for my Netgear VMC3030 camera, the camera dropped off of the Base and will not re-sync. I've tried to replace the batteries, unplug the base, and numerous other things with negative results. I have 5 cameras linked to this base but only 4 stay linked. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Remove the camera from Settings, My Devices. Briefly press the base sync button - don't hold it - and then the camera button. Did that work?
