I had my arlo for about 6 months and the battery said it was about 8%. I got new batteries and they lasted 2 days, thinking it might of been bad batteries i took them back and the same thing happened. I took the camera back and exchanged it and the new one is about 28% and I have only had this new one  like 3 weeks... Could it be a bad router? I hate to unhook it all but its a little ridiculous this thing is almost dead again. I love the cameras but if I have to change these batteries out every month to 6 weeks I am going to have to invest in something different.

How many total minutes of recording and live viewing per day is being used?

I view it a few times through out the day, they are always armed but it only records maybe 1 -3 times a day for like 20 seconds on the battery saver mode.

You didn't fully answer my question so, again, how many total minutes of recording AND live view?  A few times a day forr 30 minutes each time would be an issue.

Battery life usually revolves areound 1) total viewing/recording time per day and 2) the connection between the camera and base.  The latter can be an issue due to distance, the number of walls, ceilings, etc. that the signal has to pass through, blockage due to wires, ductwork, mirrors, etc. as well as interference from anything that uses the 2.4GHz band, whether WiFi or cordless phones or something else.

I might have live view on for 5 minutes a day. I don't know exaclty it may be 3 min somedays and 10 min other days either way it should not chew up battery life like it is. There is one wall to go through and I have 2 cameras outside... Either way The first set of batteries that came with it woked for around 5-6 months which would be acceptable... since those died ive had nothing but draining batteries. It seems to be an issue with a lot of these cameras, looking at all these reviews people are having the same problem with these batteries not lasting.  Not sure how to fix it.. it may be having to go to a whole new system!

A test could be to temporarily move one camera to a different location, perhaps closer to the base and monitor battery usage. If that's an issue, moving the base by using a long Ethernet cable or use a WiFi extender with an ether et port so the base plugs into that.

Also, don't use live view on at least once camera to see if that makes a difference.
