My cameras will not sync with the base station

Just bought this system. I cannot get either of the cameras to sync with the base station.  Base station is connected. The sync LED on the camera will initially flash blue but then turn to flashing amber. Any suggestions. I have tried locating the camera right beside the base station and tried again (several times!) about a foot away.

Jussie,

 

When attempting to sync a camera what is the behavior of the LED on the base station? When you press and release the sync button on the base station does the third LED blink green?

And don't forget to only BRIEFLY push the sync button on the base - don't hold it down.
