Motion detection activating but no video

I repeatly get alerts that motion is detected and the libray will show there is a recording.  However, when I go to the app there's nothing there.  The live video works fine.  What gives?

If not up to date this issue can occur

They are up to date with the latest.

Are you attempting to access via phone , tablet, web browser ?

The first thing I would do is reboot the base via the power button
