Arlo|Smart Home Security|Wireless HD Security Cameras

Is there a way to completely reset or wipe out any information in the app to start fresh?

I decided to update my Arlo cameras after one of my base stations started acting up and I could not figure out how to fix it. I got 6 pro 5s 2k cameras, a wireless doorbell and chime and had to order a smart hub. I set up the door bell that day and it forced the app to update to this new **bleep** fest of an app. When it updated it said that nothing from the old app would transfer but my geofencing and one schedule did transfer. I finally got the geofencing to work and I thought I had the schedule working but it never consistently disarmed at the end of the day so last night I tried to figure it out and now it is not working at all. I would like to try to start fresh, factory reset, I uninstalled the app on my phone and iPad and turned them off/restarted just in case but when I reinstall the app everything is back the way it was. Is there a way to wipe everything out?

I do not mean go back to the original app, although at least that app worked and was easy to figure out, I meant a factory reset of the current app to go back to all of the original settings from first update before I changed anything. I have been trying so many different things to get it to work that I can not remember everything that I have done.

There isn't any way to revert back to the default settings (and no way to roll back changes).

By default,

  • Arm Away arms all cameras
  • Arm Home arms all outdoor models
  • Standby disarms all cameras
  • there are no automations

Behavior for recording length, etc is controlled in the default mode settings for each camera.

The app has supported both interfaces for almost 2 years now.  Which interface you get depends on how your account is provisioned in the Arlo Cloud.

There is no way you can migrate back on your own.  A couple of folks have persuaded Arlo support to migrate them back.  Even if you could do that, it would only be a delaying action.  Arlo won't support both interfaces forever, at some point everyone will be migrated to "feed".
