I have a question about rebooting the base station. By rebooting I mean powering it off then on. If I do this do the cameras need to be resynced to the base station or are all of the camera settings and related modes etc retained?
I know that if I do a base station reset (not a reboot) all is lost and I have to start all over again.

Reboots will not require resyncing. The cameras should reconnect automatically. If the power has been off a long time (usually hours), the camera batteries may go dead from trying to reconnect.
