Hi,

This has now taken one year of pain...trying to use this system remotely, sending people at the location, teaching them how to reset, power off, power on, syncing...true craziness...

One of the Arlo Pro cameras has consistenly showed offline in the android application and did not act up on any of the changes we've done. One month ago it started working, worked for a month and then went offline again...It was only today when not having the phone next to me, I have used the PC web browser and discovered that the camera is showing there.

To recap...the camera sends notifications and recors motion but it displays offline in the android app, while it is live on web browser on PC. If anyone else has/had this problem and can advise, I would be forever grateful!

Thanks

Kitt

Oh right. Sorry, didn't read that part correctly.

I have had this issue before! Not sure if this is going to be your issue though. I had the cameras previously sync'd to a different base station. Rather than remove them from the first base, I merely sync'd them with the second base (I upgraded from an original base to the Pro base because I wanted the USB recording and the siren). This caused my Android app to show the cameras as offline but they were online via the web browser. I guess the Arlo servers thought the cameras were still with the first base but since they weren't communcating with it, they were offline.

I ended up removing all devices and resync'ing and it fixed it

I would ( not knowing if / what you've done );

Power button reboot the base ...let it come fully on line , check the phone

if NG then

use REMOVE DEVICE for the camera and bring it back as new.

Also uninstall app and reinstall on the phone

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I have performed these actions but the results is the same, one camera is working, while the 'usual suspect' shows offline.

Both cameras are live on PC browser. Extremely frustrating and I can't believe it is happening to me only.

I had a single camera that kept going offline. Even when it was sitting right next to the base station, it would struggle to sync and when it did sync, it would go offline within the day. It was really frustrating so I can only imagine what you've dealt with for the last 12 months. I ended up solving my issue by moving my base station a couple of feet further away from my wifi router. I guess there was some sort of interference happening. It's been fine ever since. I've said this to a few people on here and they've found the same. Hopefully you do too. Move the base away as far as the ethernet cable and power cable will allow

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion and sharing. Do you think this could be a syncing issue, provided that the camera displays fine on the web browser? Here my logic breaks but I am not enough of an expert...

Thanks

Hi Steve,

This solved my issue! Thanks a million! I had already done all the steps for the new base, but after seeing your reply, I thought of doing the same with the old base. (to which the troubling camera was no longer attached). I still cannot explain why it started working all of a sudden a couple of months back, worked for a month, and then stopped working again.

Once again, many thanks!
