How can I delete videos in local storage on my SmartHub VMB5000? I have a 128 micro SD card installed and it captures videos but I am not seeing any delete button.

You can't!

By modern standards, that's really poor.

You can eject the storage from the app, connect to a PC, and delete recordings there.

And of course you can delete everything by reformatting the card from the app.

But you can't delete individual videos from the app.

I'm sorry, but who still does that? So much hassle with that, not to mention that these days people don't have PCs. Even Devolo have abandoned its app for PCs in favour of an app for the phone/tablet. What does Arlo do? I'm sorry but there haven't been any new (and working) ground breaking features introduced to this system over the past years. I'm not talking here about the ability for the app to check for firmware because even that isn't working properly. (The custom modes is an old feature.)

As regards file management of local storage, even PC DOS/MS DOS could delete things off disks and drives back in the 80s! Apart from not being able to delete recordings, it's not possible to filter them. I'm sorry but a 13 year old can write a script to filter recordings by a specific date or a specific time.

As we all know, the direct access to local storage feature is intentionally crippled in several ways.

wasn't arguing the merits, I was just saying what was possible.

Arlo needs to make a coding change in their app to allow deleting old video clips. Blink has that option for half the cost of the equipment. I thought I was upgrading to Arlo.........live and lean.
