"It depends." (TM)

The length of recording time, the resolution used, the number of recordings, etc. all gets in there. The highest resolution recording for 2 minutes may take 10-15MB. Check your usage and calculate from there.

BTW, if you're referring to the 1GB of free storage, don't sweat it. That limit hasn't been enforced for quite some time.

We just got the Arlo system with two cameras and every recording is only 10 seconds long how can you change it to be longer than 10 seconds not concerned with the 1 GB want to make sure it continues to record for longer than 10 seconds

As posted many times here, the 1GB "limit" isn't enforced and the 10 second default recording time can be set by using the Mode tab. Select your base and edit the default Armed mode.  All settings are in there, including the recording time. Be sure to save.

Better yet, create your own custom mode(s) so you have complete control.  Consider the schedule to automate the process.

How do I adjust Arlo video recording length?

You can personalize your Arlo cameras to record videos from approximately 10 to 120 seconds long. To adjust video recording length, choose the camera you want update, and edit the Camera’s Rules.

To adjust video recording length:

  1. Tap the Arlo app on your mobile device. You can also enter arlo.netgear.com in the address bar of a browser.
  2. Click or tap Mode.
  3. Click or tap the base station or camera that you want to adjust.
  4. Click or tap the pencil icon next to the mode that you want to edit.
Note: The Disarmed and Scheduled Modes do not apply in this case. Only active modes such as the Armed mode can adjust recording length.
  5. Click or tap your preferred edit or pencil icon under Rules.
  6. Click or tap the pencil icon next to Record Video.
Note: Record Video must be enabled to edit recording length.
  7. Move the Slider Controlslider control.pngto your preferred recording length.
  8. Click or tap Back.
  9. Click or tap Save.
    Your recording length is updated.
