How do you set different schedules for different devices using the new app?

I updated my Arlo app the other day and I'm losing my mind...

The old version of the app used to let me manage each device differently. I could set a schedule to turn one camera on/off at certain times while letting other devices stay on. For the life of me, I cannot find a way to do that in the new version of the app. It is only letting me schedule all apps at the same time, turning them all to standby when I only one that for one of them.

Does anyone know how to get the old functionality back?

It's not possible. Someone at Arlo thought it was enough just to have three modes, which you can customise to suit your needs, but anything beyond that is not possible.

There have been reports of users being able to reverse their user interface, but when I tried that with the exec team while I complained about this and a number of other issues, they

just ignored it.

I am guessing that you don't have a base/smarthub.

As @Edinburgh_lad1 says, right now you only have three modes to work with.  That might be enough, depending on the details of the scheduling you want to do.

For instance, you could have

  • Arm Away arm all cameras
  • Arm Home arm all but one
  • Standby disarm all.

Then schedule the system to switch to those modes at the times you want.

If you don't need to disarm all the cameras, then you can modify "Standby" to get you another combination.

It's clear that Arlo needs to address this problem, there are too many situations where people need more scheduling options.
