I am trying to use 5 cameras to surround my house, front yard and back yard. I am having trouble with motion detection for the larger areas. When I enter the driveway, I am halfway in before the 1st camera begins recording. Then there is a time lag before the 2nd (front of garage) camera starts recording. The 3rd camera does not record at all unless I wait a minute and walk past it to test.

I have captured clouds moving so I know the distance is ok, but when I aim should I be trying to have camera tilting more down or up?

Can I expect if I walk past 1 camera and trigger it, then walk right to another area with another camera, should'nt it trigger it also?

I am using latest firmware, windows 10 and high speed AT&T internet.

I will appreciate any tips. Thanks

Biggest thing I see is people trying to cover to large an area...

For people, the max range on the Arlo is about 20ft...also motion is better detected accross the field of view vs directly towards.

Cars are a diff thing as they are big reflectors of IR and are easier to pick up

You can also try nested rules so one camera triggers another.

Cam1 detects, records on Cam1
Cam2 detects, records on Cam2
Cam1 detects, records on Cam2
Etc.
