In a perfect world, maybe 300 feet. In real life, it depends on a lot of things, such as walls or other obstructions as well as other interference from wireless devices that also use the 2.4 GHz band. It may be as little as 10 feet (not often) or 50 to 100 feet. Your exact scenario can make a huge difference so placement as well as trial and error will potentially be required.

I have made a usable link at 150ft+ with line of sight to base.... any obstructions to the base can limit it to less the 300 ft ( as in normal wifi )
I have made a usable connection to longer distances but with a modified antenna system so max is right at the 300 ft line of slight listed ( no obstructions )
