Every time I view the "Live" feature from a device, the infrared kicks in

We bought the Arlo package (4 wireless and 2 Arlo Q) because we have a nanny. Every time I view the "Live" feature from a device, the infrared kicks in and the nanny will be able to tell when I'm viewing her. Is there a way the infrared won't click on while in the night vision mode?

Yup, go to Settings, My Devices and turn off Night Vision.  That is the setting that allows or blocks the IR illuminators form being used.
