Does the previous Arlo owner need to remove cameras and base stations before getting rid of them?

Hello.

Does the previous Arlo owner need to remove cameras and base stations from the e-mail account before (sell/giv)ing them away? Or can that be bypassed?

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. 🙂

As a user I believe that the devices in your account are locked to your account so would need to be removed from the account before they could be installed to another account.
I imagine as arlo owns the backend systems they would be able to do almost anything they want so I would hope they have built in engineering and administrative monitoring processes to prevent any impact to the user without permission.

@ant  The person getting the camera can not add them to their account at all until removed by the previous owner. As Dannybear said they are locked into the previous account.

You could always put your case to arlo support to have it unlocked if you have a receipt.
