Do i have to use the arlo base station?

The Arlo base station is required for camera usage and viewing purposes. The Arlo cameras are only compatible with the Arlo base station and will not work with any other base station.

Yes.. you must use an Arlo base...  Multiple bases can be use to extend range if needed ( on higher service plans )
