Chose basic subscription which is free but got charged 1.00?

hi i just moved and when i hooked my arlo back up i had to reset everything. i chose the basic subscription which is free and arlo charged me 1.00. why?

Not sure why that temporary charge was done since you are on the basic plan but maybe you did something that made the system think you were adding a subscription. In any case, it's just a test/placeholder that will be reversed in a few days. Many companies do this to verify that the card number is valid.

 

You didn't need to do anything, including giving a card number, to set up on the free basic plan.
