I have a $26 charge on my bank account. This apparently is a big problem Arlo has right now and I see posts from the past few months. WHY has Arlo not setup more security? I just had to call my bank and freeze my bank account until the charge clears and then begin a dispute. This is horrible as it is the holiday season and I have shopping to do and now my bank is not accessible and I don’t have a card to shop online. Something needs to be done here. Why has this CLEARLY been going on for months and still happening?

They do have millions of subscribers. I don't think the problem is any bigger for Arlo than it is for other retailers. It just looks bigger because folks who aren't customers can't reach paid support, so they end up posting here.

FWIW, I have sometimes had my own card compromised (not related to Arlo). 

 

If someone has your card credentials and knows your billing address, I don't think there is anything a retailer can do to detect this kind of fraud. If you have a suggestion on what exactly you'd like them to check, then perhaps post it.

Couldn't they just cancel the card and send you a new one?

 

I guess different banks might use different approaches (and it might depend on whether this is credit card or a debit card). But when my own card has been compromised, they did not freeze my bank account.

I have reached out to supper regarding the charges you received, support will be reaching out to you as soon as possible. However, I do suggest reaching out to your financial institution, as these charges are generally from a compromised card.
