In older app version I could choose between vehicle, people, animals, etc. as to which notifications I wanted to receive. In new version 5.4.2 I can only find notifications on or off. No where to choose between the different types.

If you now see "Feed" and "Dashboard" in the app (instead of "Library"), then the smart notifications are in a different place.

Press the profile icon in the upper left, and then select "Home" in the locations and plans.  You'll see "Smart Detection" there.

This is particularly confusing because the profile also includes a "notifications" choice, which doesn't do what you want.

I have no idea why Arlo didn't put "smart detection" in the camera settings, as I think most users would begin by looking for the settings there.

that sounds like your subscription has expired (ie nothing to do with the app version)  Is it the case?
