Recently the ability to PAUSE videos has vanished no pause icon

 

There is no pause icon.  You can blindly  tap around and perhaps it will pause and then show you the play icon, but it's hit or miss trying to tap in a spot where it will actually and reliably pause the video every time.  Same behavior portrait or landscape.

 

And no, I don't have a phone from the dark ages it's a Samsung S21 Ultra 5g and serves me well for every other app on the face of the earth EXCEPT Arlo.

 

Is it just me?  Or is the Arlo app a -10 on a scale of 1 to 10 in usability and reliability?

 

Why do I have to download my videos in order to be able to control them without raising my blood pressure?

 

After so many years, why is it that Arlo just doesn't give a damn about it's paying customers and our user experience?

We are aware of the behavior you are seeing. The firmware 5.5.2 should be available within the next few days and will resolve the behavior you are seeing. Please keep an eye out for that update.

... my woes with Arlo escalated after I finally caved and upgraded to the Feed version.  I was an old granfathered-in hold out from the early days of Arlo.
