Just interested to know if I can use the rechargable rcr123 battery in my new Arlo 3230 model.

It depends on the battery. Good ones, yes, but they're not all created equally. First, if the rated capacity is greater than about 750-800 mAH, they're bogus. Also, some have over- and under voltage protection built in but many don't. Given some camera meltdowns, use of batteries with protection is highly recommended. There's a huge thread here with tons of info. As well, Netgear is starting to sell specific Nitecore batteries and a charger that would protect your warranty. I don't know if this pack is actually for sale yet or not. There's a link here for new products and accessories so check that out for more details.
