My cameras are set at the absolute lowest motion detection sensitivity (1) and I still get HUNDREDS of notifications a day. It would be thousands if I eventually didn’t turn them off by early morning every day. The firmwares are all updated too. Please help.

Where in the app are you adjusting the motion sensitivity?
If you’re using the camera settings utility for motion, this is for testing. The trigger adjustment for notifications is located in the camera rules inside the mode.

Is audio detection also enabled?  Are you sure you are resetting the threshold in the modes?  The motion detection test is just a test, it doesn't change the thresholds the cameras are using.

The best way to reduce motion notifications is to position the cameras to reduce the amount of unwanted motion in the camera view.  While not always practical, it is still the option to consider first.

Activity zones can also help, but unfortunately don't improve battery life.

It might also be worth removing/reinserting the battery on one of the cameras and see if that helps.  You could also try resetting one.  https://kb.arlo.com/000062438/How-do-I-factory-reset-and-re-sync-my-Arlo-camera
