Camera zoom and snapshot not working in Android app

I'm using the 2.3.0_15491 Android app on a Nexus 6P running Android 7.1.1.

When I go to the Camera Zoom section of the app it will not let me pinch and zoom the picture. Also, if I click the camera icon to update the snapshot I just get a spinner and it never updates. Live view and motion detection are working fine. I've also tried logging out of the app and back in. Does anyone else experience this?

Not sure it will help but try power cycling the base.
