Camera will not reconnect

i have 3 cameras working.  The 4th camera had batteries die, replaced batteries but it will not reconnect.  Light flashes on base when trying to reconnect and blue sync light flashes.  But not connection is made.  Phone apps states need updated firmware.    But nothing happens.   Does this take 24 hours to reset?

Remove the camera in Settings, My Devices and resync it. Be sure to only press the base sync button briefly (<1 second).
