Hi James, maybe you can assist me better than Jo Ann from your technical support from case number 27480898Which she has closed today without giving my any time for a reply.

Which wass not helpful.

One of the two cameras I pushed form a Ebay seller, one of whcih I returned and got replacmenmt as it had a faulty batteries compartment lid. There was no mention back then of it being s complneitmarty return,

Now I have contact Ebay seller as Jo ann is not letting any support on item as it was not sold by an authrosied resller, Excuse me, but how out of the amount of retialers in the world, does someone check who is a authrtoised resller. As under Auystralian Law, she may wish to read Ebay and what the ACCC here

says.

http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/buy/contextual/return-policy.html

Hopefully the seller wil replace unit, but if neither he or Netgear are wiling to, then I have to consider my options. As unless this is firmware issue with this camera,

Which I hope it is, but how can I check if that is case if camera wil not power on?

I am left with a $200 worth camera totally useless.

AS.This camera has been for a few weeks now, reprting only 50% of fully charged brand new Duracel or Enginser batteries. Now it is registreing they are both dead, both sets of brand new batteries, that I cannot even get it to pair to base station. Breifly see a red LED.How can this hapen?Could this be a software issue? Thanks in advance

Phil

Hi, thanks for reply

RMA orgrnaised. After a more senior support member got invloved on Tuesday / Weds.

Camera is not detetcing batteries at all, breif amber light when I try to Synch.

BTW is there a software update for these cameras that may also have an effect on how they detect batteries?

As two others including one of those was a RMA I did in August.

That one I have not even had on and now it is showing 13% power.

Or again has some mosuiture got into them, which si a real cocnern as tehse as we know are indoor and outdoor, so they wil be exposed to elelemnts.

I've got to get them both down off their mounts to put new batteries in and see.

Tad concenring.

Cheers

Phil

Thanks for reply,

Cannot even do that now as even with brand new Duracel or Engiser batteries installed, unit is basically dead, when I press it's synch button, I get a brief amber light.

That blinks a little bit and is trying to synch, but as I said not enough power.

Slow blinking amber LED means dead batteries.  Since you've used new batteries, I'd suggest opening a case with support using the Support link above to possibly get an RMA for that camera.

Philby12,

After installing the fresh set of batteries. Consider removing the camera from Settings > My Devices and then go through the sync process with your camera again. Do you still see the same behavior?
