Camera battery issue

The camera was connected to solar, it says charging but its not charging it just depletes like it was not connected also i tried to charge via usb and the same thing, it shows the battery icon green and connected but it will not charge. Any help?

Which camera? Open the battery door and look for a label that has VMCxxxx.

 

There have been reports of the ribbon cable inside the battery cavity from the USB connector to inside the camera breaking which would cause this.
