So we were leaving for two months on a trip across the country and decided to put up cameras to keep an eye on things while we were gone. Everything was easy to set up and testing the cameras before we left all was great. Two days into the trip one camera went Red, the next day another camera went Purple. Now a week into the trip and the only motion alert I receive is a spider crawling across the one camera. Very dissapointed, now were two months on the road with a useless 400.00 camera system rotting at home.

The red/purple/pink thing is from stuck IR filters which you can't do anything about remotely. As for recordings, it's possible nothing has been detected due to lack of motion, sensitivity settings, positioning, etc. Are you sure you should actually have had recordings?

HI Thanks for the quick reply. I have had a friend there daily waving at the camera and nothing. But I get a notification 10 times a day on one camera with spider legs running across the lense. I did try changing the settings to motion activate on a schedule and turned the sensitivity up to 100 on all three, now i seem to be getting more notifications but nothing on the camera. Will see how the changes in the setting do when my friend gets there and waves to the cameras later today. Also, the one camera that was red changed to purple, so now I two purple ones and one clear one.

Waving is a poor way to test - arms have little IR signature to them. Moving bodies are the real test.

I guess i should of clarified myself a little better. She actually walked into the camera view, which i assumed would have set off the motion, and then waved to the camera.

The distance and exact positioning of the camera may be the issue. Post a screenshot of the camera view for suggestions.
The pink/purple cast is a hardware issue. Try opening and closing the battery doors. If that doesn't help, open a case with support.
