Does the outdoor camera have better range than the indoor camera.

The indoor camera i am currently using in the shed could do with a range boost.

I was also wondering if i can use a mobile phone as a router that way i could put a cheap phone in the shed as arouter and plug the base station into it, range wouldnt be an issue than...

It's not clear if, by indoor camera, you're referring to a Q camera (rated for indoors only) or a wireless camera that you've mounted indoors.

If you have a Q camera, a WiFi extender would be your best bet to increase the range - position it somewhere about halfway between the WiFi router and the Q camera.  Pay attention to signal strength to the router to help position it optimally.

A wireless camera can only get a better signal by repositioning the base.  Again, you could use a WiFi extender with an Ethernet port to position the base more centrally or you could use a second base for that camera.
