Batteries not lasting more than a couple of days

I have used normal and rechargeable batteries and only get about 10 days. the rechargeable are only about 4 months old

How many total minutes per day are you recording and live viewing? 5 minutes or less gives spec life of 4 to 6 months. The connection between the base and camera makes a difference too.
