Base station won't boot up

My base station power button stays amber no matter what I try to do to fix it.  I've disconnected power from the outlet and waited 10 secs.  I've tried to reset it.   Even when I hold in the reset button, it never starts blinking.  It's plugged into a power strip, so I don't think any power surges caused damage.  It's only a little over a year old...is it toast?!

Maybe... the only time the power led should be amber is during rebooting...My advice is to contact Netgear Support
