So, I have a FIOS wireless router with 4 networks.  1 at 2.4GHz, 1 at 5 GHz, one extender and one unencrypted guest network.  The encrypted networks are WPA2.  After following the instructions and reconnecting my phone and then later my laptop, I connected to each of the networks hoping to find the base station.  No luck.  I went in as an administrator to my router and found 14 unintelligable device names on the networks, none of which sounded like a netgear device.  It's been about 5 hours so far and am beginning to think this was a total waste of money and certainly effort.  The video suggested it would take a few minutes.... nothing ever does.

How in the world do I get this thing up and running?

Frustrated,

Ian

unless i'm reading you wrong, you're trying to find your base station using your wifi?

you need to connect the base station to your internet modem/router using the supplied network cable

Thanks for the quick reply.  The base station is connected via the cable connection.  But my laptop and phone are wireless.  Do they need to be wired as well?

Thanks,

Ian

The two lights on the left are green and eventually the next one which looks like a camera link.  One of the cameras is sitting in the same area.

Try resetting the base using the reset button until the LEDs flash amber. Can you now find the base?
