Bad guys using IR light detectors

It seems that handheld IR light detectors are available so someone can see camera locations at night and move around them. Any solutions to this problem other than perhaps flooding an area with IR light so the camera light can't be pinpointed?

Not really...even many phone cameras can detect IR light.... but remember that the IR light doesn't come on till it detects motion and starts to record
