I've just un-boxed and set up my Arlo cameras, everything is connected correctly and paired to the Netgear base unit.  I set up the APP on my phone and can view both cameas and get alerts when motion is detected.

The problem is when I leave the house (and take my phone) all recording / monitoring stops.  I wanted the system to review while I'm not home so how can I get this set up correctly?

thanks!

This system is not a 24/7 record system ( Arlo cameras )....

It is motion activated. If there is no motion there will be no recordings.  You can always manually view and or record at any time via the app tho.

On the other hand, it sounds like when your phone switches to cell service, you stop being able to access the videos via the app.  Is that correct?  Others here have recently reported similar issues although not on a widespread basis.

Hi, Yes that's exactly the problem - when phone switches to cell service, I stop being able to access the videos via the app. The App stated'Cameras disconnected' - is there a fix?  Or Should I have a PC connected permenently in the house? - I hope not as the point of my purchase was to view cameras while I'm not home 🙂

yes - the problem occours when I leave the house and my phone disconnects from the home WiFi.  If I check the Arlo APP it shows the camers as 'disconnected' yet the only change is my phone is either dat roaming or using a differnet wifi

Is there a fix?

EyeSpy5,

The cameras being connected is not dictated by what network your mobile device is connected to. This sounds like an issue with the mobile device you are using. If you try logging in remotely using a different device (laptop, different phone etc.) do you see the same behavior?
