I was wondering how to adjust the time lapse? By the time it starts to record the person is at my door with their back to me 😞

One thing you can try is to position the camera such that the person you want to capture is walking across the field of view of the camera rather than towards to. This should trigger the movement based recording a little earlier.

Also, what have you sent the motion sensitivity at for that camera? Maybe try and increase it a little.
