Arlo install using old Airport Express

My router is an (old?) Airport Express with only a single ethernet port (where the ethernet cable from the modem connects).  Can I install my Arlo base station using an ethernet hub between my modem and both the Airport Express and Arlo base station?  That is, both the Airport Express and Arlo base station would be plugged into the modem, through a hub, rather than using an ethernet cable from the Airport to the base station?
