I used to be able to view live stream and recorded video in China, but since last week, both live stream and recorded video are no longer accessible.  When I log in to my Arlo account, all my cameras (Arlo, Arlo Q) shows "Your Arlo devices appears to be offline.  Please make sure it is powered on and connected to the Internet".

thought its my ISP issue, so I tried WI-FI (local ISP) and 3G/4G (mobile data), I even tried on my Mac, ipad and PC and still has the same issue.  However, if I turn on my VPN, either on WI-FI or 3G/4G  (tried on PC, MAC and ipad/iphone), everything works fine.

I had a Tmobile account under roaming and it is not having the issue since TMO users are able to view FB, Tweeter, all other social medias without being blocked, though the connection speed is only 2G......

Anyway, I think Arlo is being block in China.  Has anyone enoucnter this issue in China?  I'm located at Fujian Province.

Are you still experiencing this issue?

Yes, I'm still having this issue.  See attached pictures below.

We are facing the same issue. Only when logging in from China, all cameras and the base station are showed as offline.

Is Arlo officially supported to be accessible from China? This is the primary use case that we chose Arlo. If it is not supported, we will have to return our Arlo products.

Hi,

Have you tried VPN?  My Arlo works fine when using VPN, connection speed is slow though and sometimes not very stable, but it works.

Thanks.

Yeah, I have tried VPN when testing. As it appears, library is accessible without VPN inside China, but slow. Realtime streaming does not work inside China without VPN.

Had the same situation. I recommended my friend to have Arlo Pro system w/ 3 camera for my satisfaction during last travel to China and monitored my home in the US. Now my friends are in China and had their Arlo system set up before they left. They had exactly the same thing on your screenshot. Base is offline. So do all three camera. So I tried to login their account on my end. Everything’s fine. Then I tried to use a vpn with a China server. Arlo went offline.

Fro simple:
Base and camera went offline when login in China.
Base and camera was working fine when login in the US.
Base and camera went offline when login in the US using a China VPN server.

Have you tried VPN outside China?  I'm using VPNunlimited from Keep Solid Inc.  and connect to either HK / Singapore / US or UK servers (depending on which current VPN has the fastest speed) and I was able to access my Arlo Base and camera.

Yeah. Any country except China is working fine.

But my friends are aged and not very good at using these techs like VPN. That's why I'm trying to figure out what's happening.
