This is with my vm3500r4 base station.
After exhausting testing of every possible issue I have determined with my pal CoPilot
“WebRTC session creation fails on multiple devices and networks. Cameras won’t load in the web portal. ICE candidates gather normally, so the issue is on Arlo’s signaling backend.”
my app works fine because as copilot pointed out it does not use webRTC. What is going on?
This happens when I try to view the camera .

Are you still getting recordings?

What happens when you start to livestream?
What have you tried so far to fix the problem?

When I try to go live, the picture goes dark and a red dot appears with an Exclamation mark in the center. When I click on the dot it says “An unexpected error occurred. Please try again.”
As far as what I have tried to fix it, one by one, I’ve turned the cameras off and back on again. I have also restarted the base station. Nothing helps.
Note that prior to yesterday, when this happened, I would turn the camera off and back on and that would solve the problem, but it no longer fixes it.

Might also be worth restarting the phone.
I also am thinking you should try moving one camera into the same room as the base station (6-10 feet from the base), and see if it connects there.

Try clearing the browser cache and cookies to see if that helps. Also try a different browser and/or a different computer. What internet security software are you using?

Clearing the browser cache and cookies was no help. Using a different browser was no help. I’ll try a different computer later.
Security software is Bitdefender.

I tried two different computers. One with Windows 10 OS and Bitdefender security. The other with Windows 10 OS and Windows Defender security. Neither worked.

I am not able to view my camera and after an extensive session with CoPilot it determined that the Arlo WebRTC service is down or something. Quoting CoPilot
Tell them:
“WebRTC session creation fails on multiple devices and networks. Cameras won’t load in the web portal. ICE candidates gather normally, so the issue is on Arlo’s signaling backend.”
This is the exact phrasing that gets you past Tier 1.

The problem is webRTC if you have a paid plan you can file a ticket. I've verified they have a bug in their backend server.

I don't know what WebRTC is, but I figured the problem is with the Arlo software and not my equipment.

WebRTC is the protocol used by Arlo to connect your camera data to your web client. I tested and verified it was on their end. If you have a paid account file a support ticket, they should respond as tier 1 as it's a complete failure.
WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) is an open-source technology enabling browser-to-browser audio, video, and data transmission without plugins. Supported by Google, Wikipedia, Apple, and Microsoft, it offers low-latency, peer-to-peer communication. It is widely used for video conferencing, live streaming, and secure, direct browser communication.

I researched WebRTC. I don't 100% understand it, but I get the gist of it. I don't have a paid account and have never had one, however, I have had Arlo system for years.

It just relays the camera feed peer to peer, meaning it routes your camera to the browser window, it only hits the server after you hit record. You should install the app on your phone or tablet, that still works because it does not use WebRTC or uses it differently.

I don't have a phone or tablet. I use a computer. I've tried different browers and different computers. None of that works. Again, the problem does not seem to be on my end.

I filed a ticket, you can buy a android tablet for 50 bucks at walmart might be worthwhile for you, they connect to the internet and run most apps including Arlo's

Here is the fault analysis summary
Arlo Camera Streaming Failure – Support Summary
==============================================
Hello,
I’m having an issue where none of my Arlo cameras will stream through the
Arlo web portal. The problem is not limited to one device or browser.
Here is a clear summary of what I’ve tested and what I’m seeing.
Devices Tested
--------------
- Windows 10 desktop (Edge and Chrome)
- Windows 11 laptop (Edge and Chrome)
Browsers Tested
---------------
- Microsoft Edge (normal and InPrivate)
- Google Chrome (normal and Incognito)
Networks Tested
---------------
- Home ISP connection
- Mobile hotspot (Mint Mobile)
All combinations fail in the same way.
What Happens
------------
- I can log into the Arlo web portal normally.
- When I click on any camera, the video stream fails immediately.
- No camera/microphone permission prompt appears.
- The camera tile never loads video.
What I Have Already Ruled Out
-----------------------------
1. Browser issues:
- No extensions
- No cached data
- No stored permissions
- Tracking prevention disabled for Arlo
- InPrivate/Incognito mode tested
2. Network issues:
- Same failure on home network and mobile hotspot
- No VPN or proxy
- No router filtering issues
3. Operating system issues:
- Firewall fully reset
- Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) rebuilt
- Winsock and TCP/IP stack reset
- No third-party network filter drivers
- All relevant Windows services running normally
4. WebRTC functionality:
- WebRTC works correctly on all devices
- STUN servers reachable
- ICE candidates generated successfully
- UDP connectivity verified
Conclusion
----------
Since:
- The issue occurs on multiple devices
- The issue occurs on multiple browsers
- The issue occurs on multiple networks
- WebRTC is working correctly
- The browser never receives a WebRTC session offer from Arlo
This appears to be a problem with Arlo’s backend signaling service for my
account or region, not with my devices or network.
Request
-------
Please check:
- My account’s WebRTC signaling state
- Region-specific signaling servers
- TURN/STUN allocation for my account
- Any backend errors associated with my camera IDs
Thank you.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried an incognito tab?
Edit: Oops - I see one was tried.

CoPilot is very thorough it made me try everything on my end first, resets and verifications to rule out any problem with my PC. What was left was Arlo made a recent change that broke the WebRTC backend. The final test was to try it on other PC's which also failed.

What browser are you using?
Do you have the webrtc limiter extension installed in the browser? Or something similar?

Testing was done on chrome and edge browsers. I ruled out any problem with the browser through exhaustive testing, this is on the Arlo side. WebRTC worked against test sites, this is Arlo specific.

There are lots of options for media transmission in webRTC. So webrtc working with some test sites is not definitive.
The webrtc limiter browser extension (and I think there are some similar ones out there) is known to block Arlo livestreaming. Another user recently reported that here. Some internet security software might also block the feature.
Livestreaming is working with Edge on my PCs (with a VMB5000 smarthub, as I don't use a VMB3xxx base anymore).
