I love the concept of Arlo cameras but I'm getting thoroughly hacked off with seemingly spending half my life climbing up and down ladders to reset them!

I initially bought 3 cameras back in July. 2 were fine but the third kept dropping offline. I contacted Amazon who refunded me the cost of buying a replacement camera so I opted for the dearer model and bought an Arlo Pro to replace it. This one is by our front door and while it's only 10-15 feet away from the base station, there are two walls between them, so the signal strength isn't great. Nevertheless it worked fine and I had no issues for a few weeks. The original camera I thought I'd try a little nearer to the base station before I wrote it off as Amazon didn't want it back, so I put it near our back door, a mere 8-10 feet away from the base station with only a door between them. Even with full signal, it lasts a day at most before dropping offline, so I think this one is actually faulty.

My other two cameras haven't been a problem. They are on a garage around 20-25 feet away from the base station with only a window separating them, so there's effectively a line of sight connection there. They generally have 3 bars of signal, occasionally dropping to 2.

So at this point I thought I'd sorted things. I figured I'd leave the dodgy one to see if a firmware fix made things better, but the three that I wanted in place were fine.

Then my nice shiny new Arlo Pro dropped offline. Damn, I thought, still it's been ok for weeks, maybe it's a one-off. So I took it down, reset it, put it back and we were back up and running. For about 5 days. Then it went again a few days ago and I haven't had a chance to take it down again yet.

Then this morning I woke up to find this:

Yep, only one left working. This is now really getting on my nerves. Not only does it mean that we aren't getting anything recorded and that it's a real pain constantly having to get ladders out, but each time the basic ones drop out they flatten the batteries so it's costing us a fortune!

Does anyone have any idea what I could do to improve the situation? We have plenty of other wifi devices in the house that work fine without interference but equally we haven't added any new ones recently that could upset things either, so I'm running out of ideas (not to mention patience).

I had a problem with cameras going offline and also not being able to sync. I moved my base station about a foot further away from my wifi router and it fixed it. I guess there was some interference. Someone else had the same problem the other day and I told them of my experience and they tried the same and they also had their problem fixed! If a reposition doesn't change it, try with the wifi off for a little while. Not ideal but it'll give you an idea of whether it's an interference issue or a hardware issue
