I have had my camera system for a year now. I have been very pleased with it up to this point, however lately the motion detection-video delay has increased considerably in the last month from a split second to now it is delayed three to five seconds. The video clip does not capture whatever triggered the motion detector in most cases. I have four Arlo wireless cameras outdoors which are all doing the same thing for the last month, not capturing whatever triggered the motion detector to video. I have even tried increasing the motion detector sensitivity, but it still does the same thing. The batteries in all of the cameras are new as well. I have un-plugged the base to try to reset it as well, but to no avail. I have one Arlo-Q set up indoors and it is working fine. I am at a lost, so if anyone can help me with this problem, please reply.

While there have been SW upates, I haven't seen and diff in the lag time here... fairly stable at 1-2 secs for 2 years now
Have you changed anything in the home? New cordless phone, microwave, etc any thing that may introduce interference ?
What sense levels are you running at ?

Since you reset you base unit and have seen this just recently... I would let Netgear Support know about it..it may be related to a SW update, someone else mentioned something similar ( tho I don't see it ) , maybe it could be a server issue , unsure here.
But if they get a few complaints they will become aware of an issue if there is one

A 2 second lag is the best you can expect. Longer implies various possible issues, such as poor WiFi connections, slow Internet upload speeds, old firmware, etc.
