I just bought the arlo system with five cameras. Batteries are running down fast. At 45% after one day. Are they rechargeable? I set to motion detect, reduced the sensitivity etc. but they are running down very quickly. I had a lot of camera firmware prompts on initial set up. Could that be the issue?

Appreciate any thoughts on this.

if you have the Arlo Pro, they are rechargeable, but not for the (original) Arlo.

But you can buy rechargeables for it, there's a link to the authorized ones on the accessories page (other ones may or may not work (i just ordered and got the wrong Tenergy ones, not the correct Tenergy ones).

I got my system at the beginning of Feb and initially went through my batteries fast, playing with it and tweaking things.

Many things can affect your battery use such especially how much you record.

I'm recording 2-5 times per night per camera, 120 sec recordings and going down about 1% per day on average.

Hopes this helps
