We have had the camera for approximately 8 months. It is in a bedroom (grandchilds when he is here). The 1st set of  batteries lasted for Approximately 6 months. After replacing the batteries they lasted approximately a week. We again replaced the batteries. They lasted a little over a week. They are the exact batteries it came with. These batteries are approximately $21 for 4. Nothing has changed as far as the amount of traffic in the bedroom (motion). I was told it could be an issue with the camera not updating. Any suggestions?

I would first open the battery door and then close...

reboot the base via the power buton then let it reconnect ( about 2 mins )

test

If NG, then I would use Remove Device and then bring back as if new ( resync )

Also consider 1) buying batteries online as they run about $1.50 each from like batteryjunction 2) buy the Tenergry rechargable batteries that Arlo approves ( tho they last about half as long as oem, they have at least 300 charge cycles )
