Arlo Wire-Free basic subscription allows 5 cameras so why sell 6 cameras?

arlo model vms 3630 B  This system comes with  cameras and basic subscription allows 5  This is stupid why sell a 6 camera system only to allow 5 to connect unless you pay for a subscription .   This reminds of the old bait and switch tactic.  support said there is no way to allow 6 cameras unless you upgrade.   I have an escalation ticket in but I'm not holding my breath.

Also i have walked around in front of the cameras and not have it pick up the motion or record it.  

Just wondering if others have had these issues

I suspect you didn't follow the directions when installing the system. To the best of my knowledge, you need to 1) use a new account that has no devices in it and 2) choose the proper model number to be able to get all 6 cameras set up in one free account.
