I have been trying to troubleshoot the UNKNOWN ERROR which does not allow me to login to the Arlo Secure app on iPhone 17 for the past 15 days but the Arlo support has not been able to resolve.

This is Case No. 45099975 which has been escalated according to Arlo support, but no resolution since more than two weeks.

The Arlo Secure app works well on my older iPhone 16, and on a computer.

Thank you for your continued patience as we work to resolve this symptom. In the meantime, please try the following temporary workaround:

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Tap General > iPhone Storage.
    3. Wait for the list of apps to load, then select Arlo Secure.
    4. Tap Offload App, then confirm by tapping Offload App again.
    5. Do not reinstall the app.

Locate the app still on your iPhone and open it.

Yes. It didn’t work for me, even when it was attempted with Arlo Technical support on the telephone, along with multiple other ways on the iPhone 17.

Not surprised on the iPhone 17 (though I agree that Arlo should have fixed that by now).

How about the older iPhone 13 max?

I didn’t attempt it, since it failed on two other iPhones.

I’m having the same issue with a brand-new M5 iPad exactly the same error code as you and you can’t get my device to be trusted. My iPhone 16 works fine well fine as in it keeps changing the images for the cameras because when you open it up suddenly it will go to now and show an image that you haven’t taken. I don’t know what’s going on but I’ve never known such confusion. I don’t know if it’s Apples iOS or Arlo or if something’s changed deep in iOS or iPad os but it’s cost me money. I’m going nowhere and I’m really fed up with it all these issues. for getting someone to take responsibility seems to be not on the cards

Arlo has been trying to resolve it since the past ten (10) weeks and thus far, Arlo has failed to resolve. If the app is working on an older version of iPhone, it will keep working, however, if you download the current version of the Arlo Secure app to install on any iPhone, it gives the same error message and will not allow access to the Arlo Secure app.

Apparently, this issue is beyond Arlo’s Level 3 technical support teams and engineering teams.

By the way, Arlo’s higher levels are not based on the planet named Earth but based on some other space and you can never reach them on a telephone!!!

Finally, all of my issues have been resolved!

Jeffrey S. Navarrosa, ARLO L3 had a Zoom screen sharing session with me, we explored various options. Narrowed the issues to the two-factor authentication methods and/or number of trusted devices. Once I changed the two-factor authentication method to email address rather than the previous text messages to cellphones, and removed some of my older trusted devices (I had many since I am an Arlo customer since more than 10 years and over the years I changed many devices), I was able to login through the Arlo Secure app on my newest iPhone 17.

This explains as to why I couldn’t login when I attempted to login through two of older iPhone 13s.

Thank you Jeff for the support session.
