Arlo Issues w/ New Cameras

I’m hoping we can get some help here for our new system. We recently bought Essential first gen cameras. We can get the cameras to load in live mode on one phone but not on any other device, laptops included.

Also, there’s no options for the motion detection settings like in any of the support articles online or even the posts here. Subscription is completely paid for and the email address is verified.

It’s truly making zero sense. We’ve attempted to reload/delete and reinstall all apps and cameras on every device humanly possible.

Any clues on how to fix this? It’s just baffling and we are typically very savvy with this sort of thing.

What happens when trying to use live view on the Devices it doesn't work on? Do you just get the spinning buffering icon? What specific devices and OS versions are problematic? Is it only live view or is it for any other function like reviewing recordings?

 

As a new user, you get the new user interface (UI) that uses Feed to view recordings. Be sure you're using the specific FAQs for that UI - the FAQs have a link near the top that can direct you to the proper FAQ. This is due to the slow roll-out of the new UI so both the old and new have their own FAQs. To address your specific issue, the motion detection settings are in the camera settings under Default Mode Settings rather than in the modes and rules themselves.

 

BTW, since you have a subscription, you can always use Settings, Support and select a camera. Scroll down to Contacts for access to official support.
