With the new interface, the automation runs now matter which modes are enabled for operation.  Have tested multiple times and it runs no matter what.  Please fix.  (Along with all the other bugs in the new interface, listed here for completeness:  Default Mode Settings is a blank page with Arlo Pro 3, Can’t multi delete Feed videos, Can’t add additional custom modes, badges on icon work correctly only part of the time).

I'm not sure what you're getting at. The defined automation should run. If you don't want it to run, the easy thing to do is delete it I suppose there could be other ways to handle it like not defining actions.

For the Pro 3 default mode settings, try removing and re-onboarding the camera.

There is a setting in the automation that allows you to say in which modes the automation will run.   So, when you are, say, in Arm Away, you don’t want the automation to run.  When you uncheck that mode in automation setting, the automation still runs at the noted time.  I tested after the new 4.1 release and it still doesn’t work.

I will try to re-add the cameras to fix the Default Mode setting for the Device.  I am trying to work around by having a mode change that setting when it’s enabled.

I happen to leave all modes to be available. Try that to see if that helps.

I don’t want the automation to run when the system is in Arm Away.  So, I need to uncheck that one, right?  I can’t keep them all checked.

I guess I don't understand what you're trying to do. If you have set up a schedule and/or geofencing it should be switching - that's why you set them up, right?

I want an Automation routing to ONLY run when the system is in Arm Home or Standby.  I don’t want the automation to run when the mode is Arm Away.  The automation has a place to select in which modes it is enabled.  So, I uncheck Arm Away.  But the automation still runs, even if in that mode.  Make sense?

I think I see. However, the automation (a schedule in this case) will always run as set up, same as with the old (3.x) UI. The difference is that the 3.x UI had a selection for Arm All and Disarm All which isn't present in the 4.x UI. I suppose you could modify you schedule automation to include "dead spaces" using Standby if the time periods are repeatable.

I am experiencing similar issues.   I set an automation to arm all outside cameras and a few door sensors at 10pm every night and then turn off at 5am.   This automation has not worked for 3 straight days.   The automation is supposed to move from Standby to Arm Home.   There is something wrong with the new Secure software.  The Arlo IT team needs to investigate these concerns.  Why have a security system if it doesn’t work.

Try this - instead of choosing an exact hour, make it one minute earlier or later. I have a nighttime mode switch for 11:00PM that failed every time. Changing the timing by 1 minute "fixes" it.

There's a number of bugs and features that need work in the 4.x experience...

The big difference on the scheduling from before is that you are in a particular mode when the automation kicks in.  Before, you picked ‘Schedule’ as the mode.   So, I only want the automation to run when I say.  In this case, I don’t want it to run when in Arm Away.  The automation has the ability to configure this, it just doesn’t work.  Btw, thanks a bunch for taking the time to respond to all this.  Much appreciated.

Your idea of moving the scheduled time by one minute worked….but just for one day.  😔

Hopefully the Arlo team is working to resolve the multiple issues with the Secure app.

Huh. My schedule continues to work when offset by 1 minute. Maybe try an appropriate different, non-on-the-hour time while it (hopefully) gets fixed?

I have it working now.  The setting to enable the automation in a mode is at the bottom of the Mode settings.  They were off the bottom of the page and I couldn’t see the setting.  Once configured, you have to enter that particular mode to disable the respective automations.  I tested it and it works!  Thanks for all the help!
