I have four "original" Arlos (Arlo 1?), three of them are fine, but one of them won't respond. I've changed the batteries and cleaned the contacts, no luck. When I close the battery compartment, the blue light illuminates for a second, blinks once, and then dies. Because of the blue light, I know that something in the unit is getting power, but not enough to do anything.

Any ideas? Or is the camera dead? (RIP)

Try removing the camera from Settings, My Devices. Briefly press the base sync button - don't hold it - and then the camera button. The camera LED should slowly blink blue until synced when it will blink blue rapidly.

It syncs, and then it dies. Some lights come on on the camera, they're on-and-off for a while, and then I get the message "Your Arlo device appears offline. Please make sure it’s powered on and connected to the Internet." In spite of that, it actually records half a dozen 10-second videos before it dies for good (RIP). I know that some of its internal electronics are still alive, but I can't make it work in any useful fashion. 😥

[Update: I tried this a few times, and now it works! Doesn't make any sense to me, and we'll see if it's still working n he morning. And thanks for your help!]
